re-imagining spaces in cardiff
group exhibition
we are always vulnerable to becoming used to our spaces and the way we move in them and
‘we need imagination to illuminate those spaces not covered by data, facts, and proven
information’ (bell hooks, 2010.)
i want people to imagine travelling down the paths I am drawing
what would you notice and how would you feel?
how has your perception of cardiff and your relation to the city been formed?

research
my illustrations partly took form through research into some of cardiff’s future sustainability plans, such as tram infrastructure and the allotment strategy, but also through reading and listening to the academics, creatives, thinkers and planners who are choosing to build a vision of cardiff beyond traditional, colonial and capitalist narratives
